Here are my recommended financial resources. I have used these products in my personal life to improve my financial station or get the knowledge needed to see if I want to invest my time and money into it. The last statement would be especially true for the books by Bigger Pockets on real estate investing. There are a lot of options out there so it is best to pick one and go with it. The list below will help you figure out what the main options would be for real estate.
These ideas are based on my personal experience and opinion and should not be considered professional financial investment advice. Furthermore, the ideas and strategies should never be used without first assessing your own personal and financial situation, or without consulting a financial professional.

Financial Resource 101 Books
Total Money Makeover by Dave Ramsey – The best intro to finances for the average person
Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki – The best intro to how money and business work.
I Will Teach You To Be Rich by Ramit Sethi – The best intro to investing
First to a Million by Dan Sheeks – The best intro to Financial Independence for Teenagers (or anyone really)
The Insiders Guide to Affiliate Marketing by David Sharpe – This is a great read and introduction to how affiliate marketing works. If you are looking to start a side hustle then this is probably the easiest method.
Figuring Out Your Net Worth
I recommend Personal Capital to figure out your net worth. Get $20 when you sign up and link the app to a retirement account with at least $1k in it.
If you know know what that means check out this article for how to know your net worth.
Trading stocks With No fees
I recommend Robinhood for 0 fee trading. You can also buy fractional shares with Robinhood. This means that you can own $5 of Apple stock if you wanted.
Real Estate Investing Trust (REIT)
Want to own real estate for as low as $100? You can get into real estate because as Mark Twain once said, “They aren’t making anymore land.” A REIT is a way to crowdfund your money for a company to fund the building of new apartment buildings and homes and you make a dividend quarterly. This is actually passive income. So check out Fundrise today.
Sometimes it makes sense to apply for a personal loan with SoFi so that you can save money on interest payments.
If you haven’t read my article on how to save $3000 in 3 months check it out for lots of great advice anyone can and should do to save money.
Apply for 0% Introductory Balance Credit Cards
If you can stop using credit cards then getting a new one to transfer the balance to pay fewer fees is an option. Nerd Wallet has a list of them here.
Affiliate Marketing Resources
Here is a video that explains how affiliate marketing works in general and allows you to sign up for a 15-day challenge that will help get you on the right path toward making money online. There is a lot of great information in that 15-day challenge and I highly recommend it.
Real Estate Investing Books
Buy, Rehab, Rent, Refinance, Repeat: The BRRRR Rental Property Investment Strategy Made Simple by David Greene – Considered the Bible of the BRRRR strategy. Start here if you want to get into Real Estate Investing.
Long-Distance Real Estate Investing: How to Buy, Rehab, and Manage Out-of-State Rental Properties by David Greene – For those of us that live in expensive places and want to spend our money to buy in less expensive places in the country.
How to Invest in Real Estate: The Ultimate Beginner’s Guide to Getting Started by Brandon Turner and Josh Dorkin – This will give you other options besides the BRRRR and out-of-state options for real estate investing.
The Multifamily Millionaire, Volume I: Achieve Financial Freedom by Investing in Small Multifamily Real Estate by Brandon Turner and Clifford Ponder – If you are interested in buying multifamily homes (duplex / triplex / quadplex) and living in one of the homes and rent out the others then this is the book for you. Volume II will handle commercial-sized properties (5+ homes in one building / think apartments as well).
Need Help Launching Your Online Business?
If you want to get started on blogging then I highly recommend the course I went through that made this site possible:
Passive Income Pathways Lite for $7 a month – it includes all the training you need to get your blog created / setup / working and your first posts published.
Passive Income Pathways Plus for $49 a month – this includes everything in the Lite plus Affiliate Marketing / Etsy and other training to take you to $1k a month in revenue.
Passive Income Pathways VIP for $97 a month – this is the level I am in and I can tell you that I have paid far more per month for training half or even 25% as good. It has all the stuff in Lite / Plus and a slew of courses, but that isn’t what is great about this. You get access via a Facebook group and weekly Zoom calls to a network of people and training. It is designed to help take you to $10k per month in revenue.
